Internationalist Summer Camp 2026

Impressions and reflections from the Internationalist Summer Camp, 2026.

Coming from Catalonia, Poland, Italy, Kurdistan, Chile, Germany, Russia, France, Canada, and Spain, we came together in Occitania for an internationalist summer camp.

During the week, we shared our experiences, our knowledge, our struggles and powerful moments of comradeship. We saw that, beyond borders, we encounter similar experiences, and that the attacks carried out by the system against our societies are deeply interconnected. We felt how necessary it is for us to build strong bridges between our struggles.

One of the aims of the Camp was to discover together the paradigm of Democratic Modernity and reflect on how it could be articulated within our different contexts. Together, we explored the history of internationalist struggle. We walked on the path of the Occitan Cathars and the Catalan revolutionaries of 1936.

The communal life was at the heard of the Camp. By living together, sharing meals, discussing, and exchanging questions, contradictions, and meaningful moments, we grew together and strengthened our collective power.
