10 years after the Ezîdî genocide: what happened in 2014?

In August 2024, we commemorated the Şengal massacre. The invasion and atrocities of that day marked the beginning of a brutal genocidal campaign by ISIS, with the complicity of the KDP and the Turkish state, against the indigenous Ezîdî population in South Kurdistan, Northern Iraq. This latest genocide is marked as the 74th against the Ezîdî people in history.
